Welcome!

I am a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with the BABCP, working remotely so you can gain access to therapy from the comfort of your own home.

Having experienced mental health problems in the past myself, I am very aware of how debilitating it can be to suffer from mental health problems and the difficulties in overcoming these.

Asking for help can be a challenge and I have so much respect for all the people I work with because honestly, therapy can be incredibly daunting and hard!

But I hope you will trust me to guide and support you along the way. As I have been told by many people who i have worked with that the support they have received has been life changing.

CBT is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which is the recommended therapy for Depression and Anxiety by the NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) guidelines. CBT is a ‘Here and Now’ therapy which means we mainly focus on what is currently going on with you. This means that we look at your day to day patterns involving your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, to establish what is maintaining your mental health problem and gives us an idea of how to move forward in a proactive way to tackle that mental health problem.

This doesn’t mean we ignore your past, as your past is essential in providing us with information on what shaped your beliefs, thoughts, feelings and behaviours now, in the present.

CBT uses research based protocols to target specific mental health problems in a proactive and structured way to improve your mental health. CBT is a ready to change therapy which means you need to feel ready to change and to put the work in to do this.
